Yelena advises renewable generation developers and independent power producers on regulatory and compliance matters related to the development, ownership, and operation of electric assets. Before joining Rock Creek Energy Group, Yelena was an associate at a global law firm where she handled environmental and antitrust litigation under federal and state law. Prior to entering private practice, Yelena served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Salvador Mendoza, Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington and as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Autumn D. Spaeth in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Yelena has also previously worked as a fellow with a nonprofit organization focused on environmental and consumer protection regulatory issues and as a summer legal fellow with the American Wind Energy Association (now American Clean Power).
